Trophies in the making
We are happy to introduce metal artist Caroline Brisset. As a working artist and designer, Caroline Brisset works the metal through sculpture, installation and performance in her Liège workshop.
“I tirelessly try to change the invisible steel particles. My purpose is merely to break the moulds and habits. I try to move the atoms to the limits of their physical properties. I look for opposition between the act and the shape. Through my sculptures, I look for the contradictions in this material that is discontinuous, fragile and full of emptiness but also very dense, heavy and ponderous.”
Caroline Brisset is shaping trophies that will be awarded to European composers in tribute to Camille Saint-Saëns.
