The Camille Awards are a set of awards given to composers of exceptional pieces of film and audio-visual music by their peer composers. In 2022, the Awards honoured composers of original music for audio-visual artworks in four categories. The winners in each category are :
Best Score for a Feature Documentary
Nainita Desai (UK) for “The reason I jump”, directed by Jerry Rothwell
Best Original Music for a Series
Manel Santisteban & Iván Martínez Lacámara (Spain) for “La Casa de Papel” (Season 5), directed by Jesús Colmenar
Best Film Score
Johan Söderqvist (Sweden) for “Utvandrarna (The Emigrants)”, directed by Erik Poppe
The Camille Award for Lifetime Achievement
ECSA presented The Lifetime Achievement Award to one of the greatest Croatian, European and world renowned composers of film, theatre and TV music: Alfi Kabiljo.
With this award, ECSA wished to honour his successful career which spans half a century, with over 40 films and 100 TV series. The Alliance believes Mr. Kabiljo’s ability to work across so many musical genres over the years, while maintaining such a high level of professionalism and artistic integrity, serves as an example to the entire community of audiovisual music creators.
The Camille Awards were organised with the support of the Creative Europe Programme of the EU and in collaboration with FAME’s Studio Orchestra Music Recording Company and OTICONS, the European Talent Agency for film composers.
